Library Updates: 2021

With ProQuest One Academic, four core multi-disciplinary products – ProQuest Central, Academic Complete, Academic Video Online and ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Global – are now available and cross-searchable on the same user-friendly, responsive, award-winning ProQuest platform.

MathSciNet® is an electronic publication offering access to a carefully maintained and easily searchable database of reviews, abstracts and bibliographic information for much of the mathematical sciences literature.

Lumière (originally known as the Library of Foreign Language Film Clips) was created by the Berkeley Language Center in 2008. This online library contains over 6,800 films in 65 languages. Clips and films in Lumière may be used only as part of a course offered by not-for-profit educational institutions for students registered for credit at that institution. SUA faculty members may apply for an account at https://lumiere.berkeley.edu/apply and contact the Library Director for any questions.

Over 1,400 reference titles by Springer Nature were added to our ebook collection. They include all 5 subject modules: Biomedical & Life Sciences, Humanities & Social Sciences, Medicine, Physical & Material Science, and Computer Science & Engineering. The publication years covered are 2005 to 2022.

Scopus uniquely combines a comprehensive, expertly curated abstract and citation database with enriched data and linked scholarly literature across a wide variety of disciplines. It finds relevant and authoritative research, identifies experts and provides access to reliable data, metrics and analytical tools.

The archival issues (pre-1997) of journals in Education, Politics, International Relations, and Area Studies collections were added to our collection. With this new acquisition, over 260,000 journal articles in 290 journal titles became available to us.
