Reference & Instruction Services

Welcome to Reference and Instruction Services! Here are some of the services we provide:

• Navigating and accessing resources: New to the library or can't quite find what you're looking for? We can help with searches in the library's catalog and databases. Send us an email or contact us in MS Teams with your question(s).

• Instruction: We love to work with classes on research projects and would be happy to visit to talk about research skills and using library resources. Let us know about Library Instruction for your course via our Instruction Request Form or send us an email.

• Research assistance: We are always happy to assist you with any part of your research! Schedule a one-on-one research consultation or send us an email to discuss your research question, search strategy, source evaluation, research organization, and more.

• Research skills and tools:

  • We create and maintain Information Guides on a variety of topics and courses to help you get a jumpstart on research. If there is something in particular you would like us to create an information guide for, send us an email! We love to collaborate.

  • We offer workshops on a variety of research- and information literacy-related topics including Zotero, Narrowing Topics, Brainstorming Keywords, and Search Strategies.

  • We are building an online instructional video library with self-guided tutorials as they are ready. If there is something in particular you would like us to create a tutorial on, send us an email!
