Messages from the Founder Daisaku Ikeda to the SUA Community

History

Founder Daisaku Ikeda presents messages addressing Soka University of America on notable occasions such as commencement ceremonies, entrance ceremonies, building dedications, and student festivals. Prior to the opening of Soka University of America (SUA) as a four-year liberal arts college in 2001, SUA was an independent not-for-profit organization incorporated in the state of California that provided graduate school and English learning programs on the Calabasas campus, where he delivered his message on the opening of Soka University, Los Angeles in person on February 3, 1987. Subsequent messages were written by Founder Ikeda and delivered to Soka University of America in advance.
